Morgan and Duncan are siblings, best of friends, and co-authors of the world of Siraden. They grew up making up all manner of adventures, but Siraden has always been their favorite.  Morgan and Duncan have been working on this epic tale since the early 2000s, devising and revising dozens of times (and maybe arguing a bit, as siblings are wont to do). Their writing process is an eclectic mix of brainstorming sessions, writing and editing, and role-playing.  With these powers combined, they’ve made the sprawling and intricate universe presented to you today. Read on to get to know Morgan and Duncan a little more.

Morgan Waad

The first thing to know about Morgan is that she’s obsessed with purple. (If you wondered why Dragon Maiden shapeshifts into a purple dragon, look no further.) Next, it may be good to know she’s an incurable nerd and proud of it, can often be found with her nose up to the screen while working on picture details in Photoshop, and is a Delaware native who wants you to know it’s a state and not a county in Ohio (really, it is!). Besides writing and drawing, Morgan enjoys teaching English as a Second Language, crocheting, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. She works as a medical writer and lives with her husband and their two cats, Pekoe and Guinness..

Duncan Prettyman

Duncan could be described succinctly as a Delaware native, storyteller, and craft beer snob. He’s also a longtime gamer and can usually be found modding Fallout New Vegas repeatedly for absolute perfection. Most of his free time, however, is spent laboring on his homebrew Dungeons and Dragons campaign (going strong since 2006) or enjoying videogames and anime with his lovely partner. Duncan graduated from the Texas Tech University with a PhD in Media and Communication and works as an assistant professor of communication.
