…. Abavla didn’t want to hear another word from her, but as if he were in a nightmare, he couldn’t control the next words that came out of his mouth.

“And just what is so important about me and my destiny?”

The Wanderer smiled again and he shuddered.

“You, Abavla, are to design and bring to life Regran, the Su’daran—the man prophesied to save Siraden and its four moons from destruction.”

Between the pressure from the situation and the storm outside, Abavla’s head reeled. Nausea rolled inside him. “Make some kind of hero? Are you crazy? I’m the son of a blacksmith, not a man who makes legends come alive!”
