Alcohol in Siraden

Bonding over drinks

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us, celebrated by many with a brew or two at the local watering hole. While an equivalent holiday does not exist in the world of Siraden, alcohol certainly does! Today we’re going to discuss some of the varieties of alcoholic beverages that can be found on Siraden and its moons.

A wide variety of alcoholic drinks can be found on Siraden, from more “typical” fare, like beer and wine, to more exotic drinks, like sylvanth (a rare mead-like drink that the spirits make by using sap from the trees of Sylvya Forest). With few exceptions, these drinks can be found in all of Siraden’s countries from imports or local producers. However, certain countries are “known” for particular alcohols. For example, Shun is known for its hard ciders, Puxim for its beer, Backarz for whiskey, Parquese for rum, and Azel for wine.

Arvelakans like a good drink, too. Much like Siraden, a variety of common and unique alcohols can be found throughout the country. With the exception of the Strength City, which is famous for its breweries and distilleries, Arvelak does not have a specific alcohol that it is known for. In the Core Cities, beer is typically cheaper and more common, whereas wine is more expensive because it has to be shipped from the countryside wineries.
